New 15.4 Powerbook?

Recently there is
rumor

about the new 15.4' Powerbook. It is expected to have Bluetooth, Firewire 800,
802.11g wireless, and new arnodized Aluminium case, along with other features
and improvement of 12' and 17' models (AlBook).

I now own a iBook. It is not the colorful old iBook. It is the
"white" iBook with Dual USB. This is the first iBook model Apple
introduce which feature a 500MHz G3 and DVD Drive (no Combo!). I bought
it in 2001 summer. And it's now almost two years of age.

I am considering to get a new Book. And of course, PowerBook is
definitely on my list. When I first tried my iBook, I feel so amazing!
Then I regreted that I should get a PowerBook instead. Time-to-time I browsed
the PowerBook forum and found that the surface of 15' PowerBook (TiBook) can
be easily scratched out. It is because the Titanium coating is painted, not
arnodized. And the wireless range is worse than the iBook, as TiBook does not
like iBook having antenna hanging behind the top of the LCD. Indeed,
the new 12' and 17' AlBook fixed those problem, the case is cast by
arnodize Aluminum and the antenna hanging the same way they did for iBook.

Considering the price tag, HK$26000 for 17' model will make my finance exotic situation.
12' model costs HK$16,500 (w/SuperDrive) that is good to me, but I already have
12' iBook, and I am aiming for faster, more features and larger screen.
So a new 15' PowerBook, which having price falling between 12' and 17',
and having moderate features is what I need. Another
rumors

points out that it will not be available very soon. But I am waiting...
